There was magic in the air at this year's Kollaboration all acoustic show.  Each performer stepped onto the intimate stage at Hollywood's Ford Amphitheater and stunned the audience with never before seen passion and creativity.

Setting the mood for an eclectic mix of music and laughs, PK introduced the show with hilariously creative songs and punchline after punchline of side-splitting observations.  The competition started strong with music from Lady Danville, Richey Lam, Ken Oak Band, and The Shinobies.  Talent kept on impressing as Jason Arimoto, Benny Mao, Million Dollar Babies, Jennifer Chung, Jaewon Choe, tier2, and Sam "Geunjin" Kang moved us with their songs.  Although the bar kept getting raised higher and higher as the night progressed, none was able to top the pure artistry of singer/songwriter Jane Lui on the piano.  And ending with some serious fireworks, Paul Dateh and Ken Belcher brought down the house with their high energy violin and acoustic guitar performance.

The heart of the show was dedicated to the young Michelle and her losing battle with leukemia.  After learning that the certainty of her survival is contingent on finding a matching bone marrow donor, a crowd of 140 people gathered around the Project Michelle (www.projectmichelle.com) booth to lend a swab of their cheek.  It marked the highest number of new bone marrow registrants in a single day.

Congratulations to the competition's grand prize winner Jane Lui.  Second place went to Sam "Geunjin" Kang and third place went to tier2. For the first time ever, we had a winner by text message votes which went to Million Dollar Babies.
